River Trips from Goring to Moulsford

Spend the early afternoon gliding along the River Thames on a new cruise from Goring Lock heading upstream towards Moulsford and passing through Cleeve Lock. New for 2019 and part of our 45th birthday celebrations, we are going further on the river than ever before. River Trips

The Goring Cruise

Departing from Goring Lock at 13.00 on selected Sundays and Thursdays (see the calendar for service dates) this cruise will last approximately 1 hour 40 minutes and recreates one of the more traditional ways to spend an afternoon on the river, harking back to Victorian and Edwardian times, travelling through stunning Thames countryside, away from the rush of daily life and an opportunity to visit one of the less travelled sections of the Thames.

After leaving picture postcard Goring (opposite the equally perfect Streatley) we will cruise up-river to Cleeve lock, itself somewhat hidden and then on to the village of Moulsford following the sweeping turns of the Thames passing the Withymead Nature Reserve. This round trip will then retrace its steps providing vistas back towards the riverside villages as we explore the Thames.

We have special local offers in Goring for dining. Ticket holders can obtain 20% off food at The Catherine Wheel  or get a free glass of Pimms, Ice Cream or Coffee when dining at The Miller of Mansfield

Goring and Streatley Cruises depart at 13.00 on – 26th May, 28th May, 30th June, 14th July, 30th July, 4th August, 6th August, 13th August, 18th August, 15th September

Departure Point

All cruises will depart from Goring Lock, boarding will be either from the layby before the lock or when safe to do so in the lock. The vessel will be clearly marked as Thames Rivercruise and the skipper or crew will invite you onboard.

Wheelchair Access

Our fleet has a variety of accessibility levels. Several of our boats are flat decked with good access and are wheelchair friendly however some boats used for this cruise are multi-deck and have stairs for access with limitations on door widths. We recommend giving the office a quick call on 01189 481088 to discuss your requirements and we can advise on the best options for you or your guests and confirm which vessel will be in use on a certain sailing.
