Thames Experience 45 Minute Round Trip Cruise

The perfect river trip to get some air, grab a moment on the river and see a mixture of riverside homes, countryside and the Thames as it passes through Reading. Moving at a relaxed pace you have plenty of time for refreshments on board as you watch the wildlife pass as the boat glides along the Thames.

About This Cruise

Our  45-minute trip takes you out of Reading, along The Warren and through the narrows. There’s river life in abundance and even the chance of seeing kingfishers and herons.

Please note that on occasion if the river is flowing with a heavy stream we may need to alter the course of our river trips. The trip length with remain unchanged but the exact route may differ.

This is a perfect cruise for those that fancy a taster, with plenty to see but leaving lots more for you to experience on one of our other trips. There’s a fully-stocked bar onboard.

Tickets: Adult – £9 Senior – £8.50 Child – £6.50 Family 2+2 £27

Due to current restrictions relating to address details no more than 4 adults may book on one ticket. Each cruise is operating at around 30% capacity of the vessel for your comfort serving hot & cold drinks.

 

This summer is a little different on The Thames. We have made some changes to the way we operate for your safety and comfort as well as that of our crews. We want everyone to enjoy the fresh river air and feel the relaxation and beauty a trip on the river brings. Our downloadable guide to keeping safe can be found here. If at any time you are unsure or feel you need assistance please don’t hesitate to speak to the skipper or crew on your vessel – they are there for your safety.

 

At the current time we are unable to allow pushchairs and buggies onboard. You are welcome to leave them on the pier at your own risk.

The Revised 2020 timetable starts on Sunday 5th July and will operate every weekend and additionally weekdays during the Summer School Holidays (20th July – 28th August)

Departure Point

All cruises will depart from our boarding point at Caversham Promenade or Caversham Pier (they are next to each other) by Reading Rowing club beside Caversham Bridge Reading. There are car parks nearby which are often free at the weekend.


Wheelchair Access

One of the vessels operating this service has good access and the other is multi-deck and at the current time not accesible. We ask you to call the office on 01189 481088 to discuss your requirements and we can advise on the best options for you or your guests so that most suitable vessel can be confirmed for a specific sailing. Our aim is to be as accessible as we possibly can be, we are testing ideas to make access better and would appreciate any feedback or suggestions.
