Vinyl Funk & Soul Cruise

Vinyl Funk & Soul Cruise

Jim B. Donovan plays the River Thames

Each sailing will depart from Caversham Pier at 19.30 for a 3-hour cruise up river. Traditionally the more mellow time of the day on the Thames, Jim will match his set to the mood and river. The boat has a full onboard bar with sensible pub prices and a big foredeck on which you can take in the Thames, feel a cooling breeze and listen to a great set. Tickets are limited and are just £22.50 per person (Halloween Spooky Soul is £25), so buy now to avoid disappointment.

Our 2020 schedule for Vinyl Funk and soul sees cruises on Friday 12th June, Friday 17th July, Friday 14th August and a spook Halloween Special on 30h October. The party starts at 1930 (boarding will commence up to 20 minutes beforehand) and we will return at 2230.

Departure Point

All Live on the Thames events will depart from our boarding point at Caversham Promenade or Caversham Pier (they are next to each other) by Reading Rowing club beside Caversham Bridge Reading. There are car parks near by which are often free at the weekend.

Wheelchair Access

The Caversham Princess is multi deck with no lift and limitations regarding door widths. As such we apologise that we are not able to offer wheelchair access (most of our vessels do offer wheelchair access). If you would like to discuss the layout or have a specific enquiry about access please don’t hesitate to contact the office on 0118 481088 and we will do our upmost to assist.
