This is an indulgent evening dinner cruise through stunning Thames countryside . Our Gary Rhodes trained head chef has created a mouth watering four-course menu to match the surroundings as we glide gently along the river. The locally sourced menu is paired to an exclusive selection of wines chosen for this cruise.

An Exclusive Dinning Experience

Chris Burns, the chef for this event trained in Michellin starred kitchens and is experienced in creating magic from the galleys of our boats. We do ask you to make main course selections for all your guests at the time of booking and highlight those who would require the fixed vegan menu. 

Guests are wlecome to board from 1915 and the bar will be open for an aperatif before slipping our lines and sailing at 19.30. The chef and his onboard team will then serve dinner to and your guests as we glide along the river. The vessel will return to Caversham Pier for 22.30

Piccatas of chicken, topped with asparagus, tomato, Palma Ham and Mature Cheddar Cheese in a Red Wine Jus

Wild Mushroom Italian Pasta in a Creamy White wine and Tomato Sauce topped with Mozzarella and Parsley Dressing

Slow cooked Shoulder of Beef with caramelised Baby Onions served in a dark full-bodied Merlot red Current Jus

Fillet of Salmon with a Tartar Cream and Parmesan Crisp

The above all served with a selection of seasonal greens and minted new potatoes

This is a fixed menu, unfortunately due to our compact galleys we are unable to offer individual courses à la carte.

Dietary Requests

When booking your tickets please alert us to any special dietary requirements or allergies the chef should be aware of – there is a special field for this in the booking process. We do ask you to choose main courses for all guests as the galley space is limited onboard. The vegan menu is a fixed menu and can not be interchanged with the main menu but vegans and non vegans alike are welcome to choose this option.

The 2020 timetable includes 27th March, 24th April, 22nd May, 26th June, 24th July, 18th September, 9th October and 20th November

Departure Point

All dinner cruises will depart from our boarding point at Caversham Promenade or Caversham Pier (they are next to each other) by Reading Rowing club beside Caversham Bridge Reading. There are car parks near by which are often free at the weekend. The exclusive vessel for this cruise will be indicated by crew on arrival and may vary from cruise to cruise. All are fully centrally heated with full bar.


Wheelchair Access

Our boats are multi deck, access is via a ramp and we do have a few limitations with door widths. We recommend giving the office a quick call on 01189 481088 to discuss your requirements and we can advise on the best options for you or your guests.
