This is an indulgent evening dinner cruise through stunning Thames countryside . Our Gary Rhodes trained head chef has created a mouth watering summer menu to match the surroundings as we glide gently along the river. The locally sourced menu is paired to an exclusive selection of wines chosen for this cruise.

An Exclusive Dining Experience

Chris Burns, the chef for this event trained in Michelin starred kitchens and is experienced in creating magic from the galleys of our boats. We do ask you to make main course selections for all your guests at the time of booking . 

Guests are welcome to board from 1900 and the bar will be open for an aperitif before slipping our lines and sailing at 19.30. The chef and his onboard team will then serve dinner to you and your guests as we glide along the river. The vessel will return to Caversham Pier for 21.30. Each table is sectioned off so you have your own personal space with full table service throughout the cruise. Please find our extra summer 2020 safety information here

Summer 2020 Dinner Cruise Menu


Selection of rustic breads served with olive oil and balsamic vinegar Kalamata Olives



Mediterranean Roasted Stuffed Peppers -(v)
Peppers filled with rice, black olives, sundried tomatoes, sautéed vegetables topped with pine nuts & vegan cheese, glazed, garnished with basil, precious juices poured over.


Fillet Of Salmon With Mint, Coriander, Wilted Spinach
Finished with a tartar cream topped with a Parmesan crisp


Slow cooked Pork Loin Steak With Sautéed Baby Onions
In a full bodied Merlot redcurrant jus with a splash of double cream finished with caramelised apple


Chicken & Asparagus Pancetta Wrap
Chicken breast topped with asparagus, tomato, wrapped with pancetta finished with cheese,  glazed served with a fruity red wine jus


Rich Italian Meatballs Coated With Mozzarella With A Slow Roasted Pepper Sauce
Juicy Italian meatballs with delicious herbs and spices, baked in a sweet red pepper sauce  on a bed of pasta finished with Parmesan snow



The above all served with a selection of seasonal greens and minted new potatoes

Lemon Posset With Marinated Raspberries And Handmade Shortbread

Light Choux Profiteroles filled with Fresh Whipped Cream With Belgian Chocolate sauce

Sugar Cured Strawberries With A White Chocolate Crumble & Pistachio Finished With Mint

All served with fresh double cream



Coffee and a selection herbal teas served with handmade double chocolate brownie petit fours

When booking your tickets please alert us to any special dietary requirements or allergies the chef should be aware of – there is a special field for this in the booking process. We do ask you to choose a main course for all guests as the galley space is limited onboard.


The revised summer 2020 timetable includes sailings on 22nd August and 12th September. Autumn dates will be added shortly.

Departure Point

here All dinner cruises will depart from our boarding point at Caversham Promenade or Caversham Pier (they are next to each other) by Reading Rowing Club beside Caversham Bridge Reading. There are are car parks near by which are often free at the weekend. The exclusive vessel for this cruise will be indicated by crew on arrival and may vary from cruise to cruise. All are fully centrally heated with full bar.

Wheelchair Access

Our boats are multi deck, access is via a ramp and we do have a few limitations with door widths. We recommend giving the office a quick call on 01189 481088 to discuss your requirements and we can advise on the best options for you or your guests.
