Join us onboard our War Ferry and arrive by boat at the Mapledurham at War , Mapledurham House to avoid the traffic and enjoy all the events, food and drink on offer.at the event.
We have several sailings each day during the event which run from Thameside Promenade, Caversham to Mapledurham House over the course of the weekend, 12th and 13th August.
Relax onboard our non war like passenger boats, complete with bar, heating and comfortable seating, take in the scenery from some of the most picturesque stretches of the Upper Thames.
Mapledurham at war is a fantastic day out for anyone with a passion for war memorabilia, re-enactment and all things related to war and the army. What better setting than the very village where ‘The Eagle Has Landed’ was filmed and to coincide with ‘Dunkirk’. See and touch real life war exhibits, get an idea of war-time life and watch numerous displays on both Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th August 2017.
Celebrity war time cooking demonstrations, Tiger Moths flying overhead, an amphibious vehicle in the mill stream and a real war time experience. Departing Thameside Promenade, Caversham Pier to Mapledurham House.
Return sailings will take you back to Thameside Promenade, Caversham Pier.
Outbound sailings are at 10:00, 12:00 and 14:00
Return sailings are at 14:45 and 17:00
You can purchase event tickets when exiting the boat at Mapledurham. Ferry tickets are for the boat service only.
