St Peter Church Choir sing Carols on the Thames

We are very pleased to be hosting our first river carol concert complete with a mince pie and warm drink. Welcoming for the St Peter Church choir onboard we are rounding off the year in a magical way bringing a little piece of tradition to the water.

This family event will depart from our Caversham Pier and on boarding you will be offered a warming punch (you can choose between alcoholic and no alcoholic) and we will be serving mince pies. This is a truly great chance to bring the local community together and experience the river on a winters day. Our boats are fully centrally heated and nice and toasty so need to worry about being cold.

The hour long cruise will see the choir lead three sets of carols and there will still be time to watch the wildlife and countryside go by. We are sure for those with a finer voice you may want to sing along, anyone needing a little courage will find the bar on the lower deck open for the duration of the cruise.

This is an exciting first for both Thames Rivercruise and the choir, a great opportunity to gather with family and friends and a wonderful way to start Christmas festivities.

Book Carols on the River

St Peter Church Choir

The church is a stones throw, across the river, from our landing stage and it is a genuine delight to be able to hold a community event onboard. The choir, attired in traditional robes make an impact both vocally and visually. The choir director and choral members have a passion for their singing and have a wide repertoir and it will be quite a site to see on the boat. The intimacy of carols on the river will make this is a very special event.

We would like to thank the choir, choir director and Church of  St Peter for allowing us to host this first carol concert. We know it will be a great success both for those attending and the charities the cruise will be supporting.
