Trip 5 – To Goring and Streatley

These trips are available only on weekdays for Groups, Tour & Coach Operators. Exclusive use of vessel. All cruises require a minimum of 40 persons.

Times: approx 2 hours and 30 minutes each way

Cruise through some of the most glorious countryside the Thames Valley has to offer from Caversham to Mapledurham Lock and on to Pangbourne and Whitchurch passing the historic houses of Mapledurham & Hardwick. After Whitchurch Lock the elegant Edwardian properties flank the Thames and take you to the crossing point of the Ridgeway where the river was cut sharply through the Downs during the last Ice Age leaving steep woodland escarpments creating a wonderful view and inspiring Wild Wood in Kenneth Graham’s Wind in the Willows.

This cruise is ideal for adding a meal and on board entertainment. (Stopover time max. 1 hour 30 mins).
