Cruise departs at 2.30pm on Sunday 26th March
Celebrate Mother’s Day by treating your mum to a bespoke afternoon tea on The Thames.
New for Mother’s Day 2017, we have a treat fit for the most special mother. Join us on the Thames for a two hour cruise and enjoy afternoon tea freshly prepared by local artisan bakery – Nomad. Renowned for making the most tasty of cakes, scones and savouries, the Nomad cream tea, served on vintage crockery, is the perfect accompaniment for the cruise through Wind in the Willows country to Mapledurham.
Cruise with us on the Thames
We will slip our mooring lines in Caversham and cruise up the river*, just as Old Father Thames is waking up for the spring. Spot birds and wildlife as the boat follows the twist and turns of the river to Mapledurham Lock and weir before heading back down stream to Reading. Departure is at 1430 and the cruise will be around 2 hours, boarding commences 15 minutes prior to departure.
A bespoke Tea on board for a special mum
Cream tea will be served by Nomad to your table on vintage crockery (see menu below) and we will also be operating a full bar onboard. We have tasted the menu and it is a real treat! A choice of seating is offered – The Upper Deck Seating gives a great viewing platform over the river and surrounding areas whilst the Saloon Seating with big windows is a little more cosy and has good access to the bar**, we will arrange the tables to suit your party size for this reason we have limited the number of tickets on sale to make sure there is ample room for all guests.
The Skipper and his crew were excellent, the boat was ideal, the timing was perfect and the food was served with a smile.
A big thank you to you, the crew and the captain for our great day out on the river…The food was wonderful, a very informative talk, and a sunny day! We all loved it.
I loved every minute of it, the commentary was really interesting and can't wait to go again.
