Mapledurham Estate is noted in the Domesday Book and is one of the best kept traditional riverside estates on The Thames. Cruise from Caversham Pier and travel to another world as we dock on the private landing stage in the mill stream.
The more adventurous may like to take a hike on one of the nearby woodland paths rising above the Thames valley. We will drop you off at the Mapledurham landing stage around 1445 and return to collect passengers at 1700.
This service is only available on a Sunday. The ticket prices include a landing fee of £2 per person which gives you access to the grounds of the house, village, footpaths and to the tea room.
No service Sunday 13th August due to an event being held at Mapledurham House.
Entry to the house and mill is an additional charge of £7.50 per adult and £6.00 for seniors, children under 16 are free (but still need a boat ticket) .
You will be met on our arrival by a member of staff from Mapledurham House who can sell you the tickets for house and mill or, once ashore, with our boat and landing ticket you may explore the grounds at no additional charge.
The Skipper and his crew were excellent, the boat was ideal, the timing was perfect and the food was served with a smile.
A big thank you to you, the crew and the captain for our great day out on the river…The food was wonderful, a very informative talk, and a sunny day! We all loved it.
I loved every minute of it, the commentary was really interesting and can't wait to go again.
